I was using the lotion version of this for about a year, then went to the balm for more hydration. However, it seems to be breaking me out. I think because it's spring, im not needing as much occlusion as i did during winter. I'm gonna go back to the lotion formula, then pick this up again next winter. It is a little hard to spread, but I spray the avene mineral water on, let it dry slightly, and press the balm into my skin when its still wet. That helps thin the balm just enough to rub in. Otherwise, it can actually feel kind of rough!

Another excellent product from this brand. I have type 1 rosacea on my cheeks, even when I avoid triggers (like red wine, warm weather, etc.), and very sensitive skin overall. I've been using the cicalfate serum from this brand for the sensitivity, but it didn't help the redness. After two weeks of using this twice daily, I noticed a significant difference. After a month, I had no redness unless I encountered a trigger. Even then, the intensity of the redness seemed less. I've got this on auto-delivery now, along with the cicalfate serum. I never want to be without it!
