Schiffe dieser Klasse waren dunkelgrn oder braun lackiert. Mit einer Flgelspannweite von etwa 900 Metern verfgte das Schiff ber einen groen, nach vorn verlngerten Abschnitt, der eine nach unten geneigte Bugform bildete. Warpgondeln waren am Ende jedes Flgels mit achtern montierten Impulstriebwerken verbunden.
