COMP Cams Super Valve Lock Eb11/32-.050Most people believe that the tang inside a valve lock holds the retainer and valve spring in place while the engine is running, but this isn't the case. The cross section of material in the tang is not strong enough to withstand open spring loads of 1000 lbs. or more. The sole purpose of the tang is to temporarily locate the lock, retainer and spring relative to the valve until the taper of the retainer can nest around the outside surface of the lock.

I highly recommend the Chuck-It brand in general, especially for dogs with an aggressive bite. These balls are awesome and are the most durable balls I’ve bought for my 50 lbs lab mix. He has not been able to break one of them yet and we’ve had a few of the squeaky balls for months. They are a bit pricey but worth it. The one in the pic has been used for months, lives outside and you can see it’s still in great shape.

Great cheap little dog toys! Our 11 month large breed 90lb puppy loves to toss these around and squeak them between his teeth.. they eventually break down but that’s okay, at the low price of a couple to a few dollars each they make it affordable.
