S. began production of the M1917 helmet, it acquired from the British a supply of 400,000 Mark I helmets. This particular example's interior brim is marked "HS 366", denoting production by Hadfield Ltd. of Sheffield, England. The helmet retains its original sawdust textured olive drab factory finish. Its original oil cloth liner and leather chinstrap

Honestly you get what you pay for with these I lucked out because of the price point. They look ok, they're not horrible, they're not fantastic, but they're doable. They hold up pretty well I've worn them to work and I walk a lot at my job so so far so good.
