Queens of the Stone Age - pitchforkI decided to switch things up a bit for this one and take a break from my animal motif's. The art here recalls some of my early work from Velvet Revolver to Taking Back Sunday to Tori Amos and more recently Cake and Cat Power. There's some Japanese influence in the style and of course Chuck Sperry's radiant figures. The aim with the female subject at the center of the print is to give her an anonymous timeless quality. this is my 2nd time purchasing a hardcover Batman comic in my life (1st being Absolute Batman). The art in this run by Matt Fraction is truly premium quality and this Batman suit from color and logo basement might be in my top 5 Batman suits of all time. I look forward to continuing to follow this story.

True Detective

Format: Kindle

Life long Marvel fan who has found his way to DC, and has been blown away! Mostly the Absolute books, but when Matt Fraction is writing I’m reading. Street level Bats at his best. The art is 10 outa 10. There is as much heart in here as crime fighting check it out.

New Batman Takes Flight

Format: Hardcover

Very nice design on the book and with the hardcover especially. Love the art and story direction so far. The depiction of Gotham is interesting and has an almost cyberpunk feel to it.
