Swimmy was one of my daughter's all-time favorite books (we "owned" one of the local library's copies for over a year; we just kept renewing it). Its themes of not being afraid to be different, to be oneself, or to be a leader--and above all, of what can be accomplished through cooperation are messages all children need to hear.
