The material is still Bakelite, but it is higher quality than most period items. The green has a marbled look with dark specks throughout. Some variation on markings on the metal sharpener inside. Quality of the shirt was nice but the measurements did not add up. I wear a 17 1/2 neck and 36/37 or 37/38 sleeve. I ordered an XL and the sleeves were a little to short and the neck was way to big. Could never wear a tie with this shirt. So going up in size wasn't an option because of the neck. The next size up that had longer sleeves was a 3X, not happening. So if I went down in size the sleeves still would have been to short and the shirt would have been to tight. If the shirt fits you then you have a good shirt at a great price with lots of colors.
