Bakelite Barock Ink PadPostwar Barock Bakelite ink pad. There are no really obvious postwar markings, but I think it is East German as I cannot find a record of the company before the 1950s. Brochemie Barock is based out of Dresden and supplied most of the writing utensils and office supplies of the DDR. Decent condition with some wear. The ink pad itself will need replaced or re inked. More East German items here.

This book is an excellent introduction to the basic principles of insurance. We used this text as a supplement in our Intro to Act. Sci. class. It is very readable, easy to understand. Minimal mathematics required, some basic calculus concepts used, but only briefly. Don't let it's small size fool ya, it has plenty of information in there.

The Saturday after Thanksgiving, my great-grandchildren were together after watching an outdoor light parade sponsored by the local police, fire dept and EMT's. I handed my grandson the book to read to the 3 great-grandchildren.
