Royal Doulton Persian Pattern Jardiniere PlanterA striking Royal Doulton jardinire in the Persian pattern: parakeets in yellow and blue perch and flit through a dense tangle of foliage, pink flowers, and curling vines, all on a cream ground with fine crackle glaze. The rim is edged in green. Jardinieres in this form were made to be seen as much as used displayed on a hall table or sideboard, housing a planted pot, filling a corner with colour. Three stars. These are very lightweight and seem fine for the price, but the leather felt a bit too thin for what I was looking for. I didn’t even end up trying them on because they just didn’t feel like they would hold up long term.
They’re not bad if you need something inexpensive for occasional wear, but I wanted something that would last. It felt like they might scratch easily, so I decided to return these and go with a more expensive option instead.
