Reserve de la Comtesse Pauillac 2016This is a gorgeous bottling of the Reserve de la Comtesse from the Pichon Longueville Comtesse de Lalande estate in Paullac. It is composed of a blend of 54% Cabernet Sauvignon, 37% Merlot, 5% Petite Verdot and 4% Cabernet Franc. The nose opens with an aroma set of cassis, plum, smoky minerality, and a light floral note. On the palate there is a presence here that tells me this is bound to mature for years to come, but still gives quite a bit of joy

I use this with my medium sized dog. These are large for him but that's what I want so I don't ever have to think about them being too small or a swallow hazard. He has been through A LOT OF TOYS in the last couple years, but nothing, NOTHING has he loved as much as these. His favorite used to be squeaker balls. Then his favorite was crackle balls. But he will gladly ignore both for this one. I don't know if it's the bacon flavor or what, but he go nuts for it.
