It's a reminder of Major Armistead's desire for America to be free. It's a reminder of the Star-Spangled Banner, our national anthem inspired by this flag. When I read this book, I found myself nodding my head so much and lovind the lessons taught. There is a story about the little pig who said "I won't" whenever his mom asked him for help. Then he learns he is missing out by always not wanting to help when his brother "I will" gets to have a fun day at the dock. Sweet little stories about how to act appropriately when you are a guest and how to treat others. It is just darling. My daughter LOVES it because she watches the Richard Scary cartoons on Saturday about solving mysteries. She keeps asking me to read this book to her. I love being able to teach these lessons through this darling book. Highly recommended. :)
